Space for wilderness and people

The Kellerwald NationalparkZentrum want to take you by surprise: an eye-catching architecture, extraordinary exhibits and a unique cinema experience in 4D. Artful arrangements and entertaining exhibits give an extraordinary insight into the wilderness of the Kellerwald. They present the beech forest as Natural Heritage, biosphere, place of diversity but also as a place of treasures, fairytales and myths. They offer an individual access to one’s own wilderness, take you into other spheres, bring long forgotten things to the present, awake longings, make you sensitive, aware and attentive for the wonders of the forest.

The different biospheres of the national park can be experienced from surprising perspectives in "UrSchätze der Wildnis” (Ancient treasures of the wilderness). In the "WaldWerk" (Forest Works) you have to turn, press, push and wind. The interactive exhibits need active and curious visitors who want to discover the nature of the primeval beech forests and their inhabitants. And a unique 4D-movie for the senses is shown in the "FilmRaum" (Cinema Room): make a fascinating journey through the wilderness together with a national park ranger.
